The Important Thing

The Important Book, by Margaret Wise Brown, is a simple and beautiful children's book. Mrs. Gibson's students (and others in the building) have used the structure of the book to write about the important things in their lives.

The structure is as follows:
The important things about Spofford Pond School is that we do what is best for children. We focus on teaching and learning. We provide a rich and well-developed curriculum. The playground is huge and the nachos are fantastic. But the important thing about Spofford Pond School is that we do what is best for children.

This bulletin board shows some of the writing of Mrs. Gibson's students from just before the vacation. Come take a look.
